POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

STAYING IN A BED AND BREAKFAST

A Bed and Breakfast (hereinafter B&B) is a private home in which one or more bedrooms are made available to guests; the kitchen is for the exclusive use of the owners to prepare breakfast, unless otherwise agreed in advance.

As B&Bs are small family-run structures, there is no 24-hour reception service as is the case at hotels, and therefore guests are asked to notify the owner of the structure by phone of their estimated time of arrival. Arriving at the accommodation without having notified the owner of the arrival time may mean having to wait a considerable amount of time. No claims for reimbursement will be accepted in these cases.

B&B RULES

At the B&B, guests must behave lawfully and in accordance with common sense and mutual respect.

BOOKINGS

Bookings can be made by phone or email. Confirmation of the booking will be sent, complete with all of the information regarding the B&B and how to pay the 40% deposit by bank transfer or PostePay. The remainder is payable in cash upon arrival at the B&B.

No reimbursements are payable due to early departures.

In the event of cancellation more than 30 days before the arrival date (when the deposit has already been paid): the amount paid will be refunded (minus a € 15.00 cancellation charge).
No refund is payable if the booking is cancelled less than 30 days from arrival. Guests however will be given the opportunity to use the deposit for another booking in the same calendar year.
If the guest does not arrive at the accommodation on the agreed date without having provided notification, the booking will be cancelled and no refund is payable.
If the owners of the B&B are forced to cancel the reservation, they will immediately notify the guest and return the sum paid or propose alternative accommodation, where possible.
The owners accept no liability for cancellations made due to force majeure.

RATES

Double room for single use: from €60 to €100 per night + tourist tax.
Double room for two people: from €110 to €150 per night + tourist tax.
Triple room (double bed + single bed): from €140 to €180 per night + tourist tax.

The B&B is not authorised to accept credit and debit cards. Cheques are not accepted.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIME

The rooms are available after 4 p.m. if previously occupied and must be vacated by 10 a.m. on the day of departure. The departure time may be extended until 12 noon if no new arrivals are expected on the same day. Guests must check-in before 7 p.m. It is recommended to notify the owners of an approximate arrival time to avoid long waits before checking in.

BREAKFAST TIMES

Breakfast is served at the time agreed the day before and in any case between 7.30 and 9.00 a.m. (special requests must be previously agreed on with the owners).
Outside of these hours it is forbidden to use the breakfast room, the kitchen and the entire living area for meals.
Meals may not be consumed in the bedrooms.

CLEANING

The rooms and bathrooms are cleaned every day from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Fresh towels are provided every day. The sheets are changed every three days, unless otherwise requested. If the rooms are occupied at the time of cleaning, the room will not be cleaned.

CHECK IN AND CHECK OUT

Guests are requested, upon arrival, to provide identification for registration with the police (data processed in accordance with Italian law no. 675 of 31/12/96).
Guests may not allow any other people to enter the B&B at any time, for safety reasons.
The rooms are available from 4 p.m. on the day of arrival. During the entire stay and on the day of departure, the rooms must be vacated by 10 a.m. to allow final cleaning. If the room is not vacated by 10.30 a.m., an additional day will be charged. Anyone wishing to stay after this time must agree with the owners in advance (if there are no other bookings) and cannot stay later than 3.30 p.m.
Later departures will incur a late check-out fee equal to 50% of the normal daily room rate.
Guests are trusted with the keys to the accommodation so as to be able to come and go independently. The keys provided must be returned on the day of departure.

PROHIBITED

It is forbidden to smoke inside the B&B, both in the rooms and in all spaces available to guests.
It is forbidden to allow children to use the kitchen appliances.
It is forbidden to throw diapers, sanitary towels and anything else that could obstruct the pipes into the toilet.
It is forbidden to stay in the common areas of the B&B dressed in a way that others may consider indecent.

GUEST OBLIGATIONS

Guests shall pay compensation for any damage caused to the B&B and for improper use of the facilities made available.
Total silence must be observed from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
In any case, behaviour at all times of the day must be such as to not disturb other guests.
Always close the windows and doors, turn off the lights, the television, the air conditioner and any other appliances when leaving the B&B.

RECOMMENDATIONS

Guests are reminded to pay attention to their belongings, as these are not the responsibility of the owners of the B&B.
Guests are asked to double-lock the front door and to keep the keys on them at all times.
Do not leave the keys in the lock.
Guests must return the keys before departure.
Lost keys will result in a charge for changing the locks and the entire set of keys.

BEHAVIOUR

It is strictly forbidden to smoke inside the premises.
The B&B declines all liability for the loss, theft or/and damage to guests’ belongings left in the rooms or for any damage to persons or things or to and by third parties.

ACCEPTANCE OF THESE REGULATIONS

These regulations of the Il Viaggiatore B&B are considered as having been fully accepted by the guest on booking the room.
If guests do not comply with these regulations in their entirety, we reserve the right to terminate their stay at our B&B, in accordance with applicable contractual law.
